Privacy Policy
How OutpostLog handles information, cookies, email, and affiliates.
Last updated: October 29, 2026
OutpostLog (“we,” “us”) operates outpostlog.com. This policy describes what information may be collected and how it is used. The site is intended for a general audience.
Information you provide
Email list: If you subscribe, you provide an email address (and any fields shown on the form). Signup forms on this site are placeholders until connected to an email provider such as MailerLite. When connected, that provider’s privacy policy will also apply. We intend to use your email only to send the newsletters or updates you requested. You may unsubscribe at any time via the link in those emails.
Contact: If you email hello@outpostlog.com, we receive whatever you include in that message and use it only to respond.
Cookies and analytics
We may use privacy-respecting analytics or similar tools in the future to understand aggregate traffic (pages viewed, approximate region, device type). Those tools may set cookies or use similar storage. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Essential cookies for hosting/security may be set by our hosting provider (for example Cloudflare).
This static site does not currently require an account and does not intentionally collect sensitive personal data through the pages themselves.
Affiliate links
Affiliate links (when active) may allow partners to know that a visit or purchase came from OutpostLog—typically via cookies or referral parameters on their sites. We do not control third-party cookies on merchant sites. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
Third-party services
Hosting, email delivery, analytics, and merchants each have their own policies. We choose providers with the intent to keep the stack simple and appropriate for a content site.
Data retention
Email subscribers remain on the list until they unsubscribe or we delete the list data. Contact emails are kept as long as needed to respond and for basic records.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
